I don't understand why this book and this author's other book, The Grunts, are not more highly acclaimed. I've read a fair number of books about Vietnam and, in my opinion, these are two of the very best. Anderson's writing style is straightforward and highly engaging.

He knows how to tell a true story in a very interesting by: 1. This book is great. Offers a lot of insight and different perspective from the usual book shop books on the Vietnam war. Information is based on meetings and records of the north Vietnamese communists and some other parties and contains a lot of detail.

It is not an emotionally written or bias by: 1. One of the first fictional Vietnam war books, and often touted as one of the best Vietnam novels, it’s a face-paced wonder that follows draftee Philip Dosier as he is drafted into the war, completes a of tour of duty, and comes : Tracy Shapley.

Anderson's writing style is straightforward and highly engaging. He knows how to tell a true story in a very interesting by: 1.
